The Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada (GOC)

GOC is a nonprofit organization comprised of physicians, nurses, scientists and other health professionals who specialize in gynecologic oncology. To improve the care of women with, or at risk of developing, gynecologic cancer; GOC focuses on raising standards, encouraging ongoing research, promoting innovation in prevention, care and discovery, and advancing awareness. The organization also disseminates knowledge to practitioners, patients and the general public on gynecologic cancer in cooperation with other organizations committed to women's health care, oncology, and related fields.
Ovarian Cancer Canada meets regularly with the membership of GOC to ensure alignment as we advance prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer and improve the patient journey. These organizations also partner to award the GOC/OCC Bruce Galloway Trainee Grants. To honour this important partnership, Ovarian Cancer Canada reserves a seat on its Board of Directors for a member of GOC.
The Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology (CANO)

CANO is a national organization with the mission of advancing oncology nursing excellence through practice, education, research, and leadership for the benefit of all Canadians. Its vision is to be an international nursing leader in cancer control.
In partnership with CANO, Ovarian Cancer Canada established the Award for Excellence in Gynecologic Oncology Nursing. This award acknowledges the exemplary work of nurses in gynecologic oncology nursing who focus on ovarian cancer. In recognition of the importance of this partnership, Ovarian Cancer Canada reserves a position on its Board of Directors for a member of CANO.
College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Representing more than 30,000 members across the country; CFPC is the professional organization establishing standards for the training, certification, and lifelong education of family physicians while advocating on behalf family medicine, family physicians and their patients. Given the pivotal role of family physicians in detecting ovarian cancer, Ovarian Cancer Canada reserves a position on its Board of Directors for a member of CFPC.
The Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO)

CAPO convenes professionals, clinicians, researchers, educators, and others dedicated to the understanding, treatment and study of the social, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and quality-of-life aspects of cancer. Throughout Canada and beyond, this organization enhances the wellness of individuals and families by furthering capacity for, and excellence in, psychosocial oncology services. CAPO is focused on fostering and encouraging interdisciplinary excellence in psychosocial research education and clinical practice in oncology.
In partnership with this organization, Ovarian Cancer Canada has established the Award in Support of Psychosocial Oncology Excellence to acknowledge the exemplary work of psychosocial oncology professionals.
Cancer Research Society (CRS)

The CRS is a national not-for-profit organization with the sole mission of funding research on all types of cancer, thereby contributing to the advancement of science aimed at preventing, detecting, and treating this disease. Ovarian Cancer Canada has partnered with the CRS to support ovarian cancer research grants.
Canadian Coalition for Genetic Fairness (CCGF)

The CCGF is a coalition of organizations taking aim against discrimination based on genetic make-up. To create change, the Coalition educates Canadians about genetic discrimination and influences relevant organizations, as well as governments at the federal, provincial, and territorial levels.
