The Ovarian Cancer Canada Speaker Series features experts from across the country discussing a wide range of topics for women living with ovarian cancer and their families and friends.

Building the right healthcare team can make a meaningful difference throughout your cancer experience. Join Dr. Alison Ross, Director of Knowledge Mobilization at Ovarian Cancer Canada, and Dr. Craig Herrington, Naturopathic Doctor, as they explore integrative cancer care, navigating complementary therapies, and building a team that supports your physical, emotional, and overall well-being. After the session, you’ll have practical information that will help you make informed decisions while building your cancer care team.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to learn more, this webinar will offer clear, patient-focused information to inform and empower you.

OUR SPEAKERS
Alison joined Ovarian Cancer Canada in 2021 as Director, Knowledge Mobilization. In this role, Alison works closely with her colleagues across Canada to ensure that the disease information shared with our community is of the highest quality and sophistication. She also plays a key role in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of patient education and outreach strategies, and provides direct support to those diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Alison holds a PhD in Health Studies from McMaster University. Her research work has centralized insights from diverse patient communities to inform the development of medical programming and to advance patient-focused strategies.
Craig Herrington, ND was born and raised in Victoria, BC. He attended the University of Victoria and then graduated from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2005. He spent four years at the Ottawa Integrative cancer centre where he specialized in collaborative oncology care working along side a team of physicians, nurses, acupuncturists, and naturopaths. Craig works with each person and their primary care health team to develop a realistic health care plan. He does not use fad programs, unnecessary supplementation, detoxes or other alternative medical treatments that lack evidence. His goal is to improve your health in a way that is sustainable, and more importantly one that can be consistently followed while enjoying life!
