Trainees will have the opportunity to interact with members of Ovarian Cancer Canada’s patient community in an informal setting. It will provide a forum for trainees to better understand the patient experience, share their work with those it is meant to benefit, hone their research communication skills and inspire them to remain in the field.

Registered delegates wishing to cancel attendance at the 11^th Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research, including those whose abstracts have not been selected for presentation,  must provide a written request for their refund on or before April 15, 2024 via email to info@ccocr.org. A $25 cancellation fee applies. The 11^th CCOCR regrets that requests received after this date will not be considered. All approved refunds will be issued after the Conference. An abstract presenter, whose abstract has been rejected, may ask for a full refund until April 15, 2022.

The Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research welcomes all patients and caregivers, trainees, researchers, clinicians, affiliated health professionals, and industry partners engaged in ovarian cancer research. Participants are expected to engage in productive, respectful and constructive discussion, aimed at interpretable and high impact science. Debate of ideas is encouraged, allowing delegates to enjoy a lively and stimulating conference, but personal attacks, discriminatory, racist or otherwise exclusionary discourse will not be tolerated and delegates engaging in such behaviour will be asked to leave the conference without an opportunity for registration refunds or expense reimbursement.

We encourage the use of social media before, during, and after the conference to share information and to network with others. However, we ask all conference participants to adhere to the following social media guidelines:

• Blog or tweet about what you are hearing and learning, but refrain from sharing unpublished data or any photos or information as requested by the speaker verbally or on their slides. Talks are tweetable and shareable by default, but speakers can request that specific details or slides not be shared.
• Whenever possible, use the hashtag #ccocr2024 to discuss the conference.
• Provide feedback to the conference committees. We encourage participants to post and discuss topics of interest as well as ideas for future meetings.
• Communicate with respect and consideration for others, keeping criticism constructive.
• Do not engage in rudeness or personal attacks.

The 11^th Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research is committed to inclusivity. Within our invited speakers and delegate groups, we welcome diversity, including those who identify as minorities, including, but not limited to those with diverse racial and geographical background, sex and gender identities, socioeconomic, educational, religious or other beliefs and abilities.
