Ovarian cancer is a relatively rare cancer.

There is no effective screening test, no reliable diagnostic test, and no early “red-flag” symptoms.

Due to these challenges, it may be difficult to have an effective conversation with your family doctor (or other primary healthcare provider such as a nurse practitioner) about ovarian cancer. Therefore, this activity has been designed to help you have an effective conversation with your family doctor about your ovarian cancer risk.

If you do not have a family doctor, the following options may be available to you:

  • Gynecologist
  • Community health center
  • Walk-in clinic
  • Emergency room or urgent care center
